Welcome Sandeep Khaneja and Hani Atalla!

Function1 is a growing company, but not too big that we can't take a minute out of our regular blog routine to welcome our two newest team members, Sandeep Khaneja and Hani Atalla.

Hani and Sandeep have actually been with us for several months, so my apologies for the late public welcome, but we're thrilled to welcome them to the team and have them work with our clients delivering elite AquaLogic consulting and product expertise!

Sandeep is a Plumtree/BEA Alumni with years of experience helping clients like yourselves realize their vision of a best-of-class end-user focused portal, with a special focus on strategic business planning, health checks, and technical optimization of the rest of the AquaLogic product stack.

Hani is a multi-year ALUI consulting veteran with a solid Java and .NET application development background for ALUI clients, and has been instumental in developing Watcher, our newest product - an ALUI monitoring an alerting application.

Welcome guys!

Welcome, Brian Hak!

Welcome Brian Hak to the Function1 team! Brian joins us with years of ALUI experience; he's the kind of guy that's not content to just email alisupport@bea.com until he's decompiled the code, completely diagnosed the problem, and is simply reporting the exact line the bug is on.

Take his first blog post:  most people would be content in the fact that officially, ALI on Vista is not supported and leave it at that.  But Brian rarely accepts anything at face value; he saw a need, got his hands dirty, and came out with a comprehensive view of how the 6.5 installer works and why it didn't run on Vista (while it's not supported, the portal seems to work as well on Vista as it does on any other laptop).

It's a good read, even if you've got a 6.x installation that's not quite running correctly on Windows or Unix and need to "help it along".

Brian's not just a techie, though:  he's equally at home decompiling code as he is discussing complicated business and technical matters with, shall we say, stakeholders that aren't as familiar with portal technology as you and I.

We all look forward to Brian joining the team to help Function1 continue to provide stellar software and service solutions!
