On October 1, 2012, we announced that Function1 and Metastratus Web Solutions are joining forces. The complete announcement can be seen here. This page contains information about the combination and transition.What is happening?
The Metastratus consulting team and the Function1 WEM consulting teams are merging. The new Web Experience Management team at Function1 is a largely autonomous organization, and is jointly run by Tony Field and Hemang Mehta. Tony will continue liaising with clients and consulting. In addition, the new Function1 WEM team also includes architects, technical leads, developers, and trainers. Function1 has acquired Metastratus’ portfolio of products, and the new WEM group will extend them and bring them to the market in the coming months.
When is this happening?
The transition begins on October 1, 2012 and will continue over the next 6-9 months, but we expect that most of the transition will be finished in the next 4-6 weeks.
How will this affect customers?
If you are a customer of Function1 or of Metastratus, this is great news.
Function1′s existing customers gain access to the rich WebCenter Sites experience of the Metastratus team and its tools and products. Metastratus customers gain access to the breadth of experience of Function1′s consultants, and the benefits of Function1′s operational efficiency.
We believe that technology exists to help people put their ideas into action. Our consultants work closely with customers to understand their needs and use their craft and our products to augment industry-leading software – rounding the rough edges, improving its efficiency, ultimately making it easy and enjoyable to use. Function1′s solutions deploy faster, less expensively, and are far more usable than standard deployments because of this.
How will this affect partners?
Metastratus deeply values its relationship with its partners, and a smooth transition with partners was a core consideration when this arrangement was being contemplated. Correspondingly partners will continue to enjoy the same access and benefits to the WEM team as they enjoyed through Metastratus, and we are very excited to work with our partners as Function1.
