Blogs, Blogs Everywhere
So by now you’ve heard the press – maybe been to a few events of your own (Participate, anyone?), and you recognize the value of Web 2.0 – blogs, wiki’s, AJAX – you want it all.
A handful of us out there that work with Bea / ALUI / Plumtree customers can help you achieve your vision, and a lot of us are even providing real – FREE – value to anyone who’s looking for it.
We’re doing this by blogging about anything and everything related to ALUI, BPM, and Web 2.0 projects. Virtually all of these blogs are fantastic resources for picking up little snippets of information on various topics, so keep track of them all with various RSS Readers and Aggregators. My personal favorite for getting feeds “pushed” to me is Outlook – I have a folder in Outlook that imports a handful of top ALUI XML feeds out there and neatly organizes them by folder. By maintaining the tips and tricks locally, I can save the ones I think I may need some day and search on them later. If true Web 2.0 is more your style, some great web-based tools are Bloglines and Google Reader, which allow you to view all of your feeds in one browser window.
Now that you’ve got all your feeds organized, what are some great resources out there? We’ll occasionally call out top feeds to let you know about the hidden gems out there, and the first feed I wanted to give a shout out to is Cory Schop’s www.plumtreeg6.com site. Blogging for a year and a half now, he’s got dozens of helpful tips in 10 categories. Check ‘em out!
